Crisis Residential Program at Natale

Who’s Eligible

Admission is voluntary for individuals 18 years and older who have a primary mental health diagnosis and who are determined not to require inpatient hospitalization.

Referrals will be accepted to accommodate individuals with acute mental illness and medical issues. However, these medical concerns must be non-life threatening, as the program is essentially residential and psychiatric in nature and not primarily medical. Given the prevalence of substance use/abuse, we expect that some individuals will present with these issues in addition to mental illness. This clinical program is prepared to treat these individuals.

Making a Referral

Referring agents may include, but are not limited to, medical staff, social workers and/or case managers from inpatient or other crisis units and mobile crisis teams.

Referrals can be made in several ways. Referral forms can be faxed directly to the CRP at Natale at 610-891-7078 or called-in by telephone M-F at 610-891-7077, after hours and weekends at 610-891-7071. The CRP at Natale staff is available to assist in the referral process. Individuals should contact the applicant's funding source for intake approval.

Referral Form

While funding availability is being checked, the CRP at Natale’s clinical team determine if the applicant meets the admission criteria. With the appropriate approvals in place, intake can occur on the same day as the referral.

Funding

The CRP at Natale accepts all types of funding arrangements, including those from behavioral health managed care insurers, private health insurance companies and HMOs, as well as from County human services departments, Medicaid, and private pay.
