Program Overview

Community Foster Care Program provides placement in foster family homes for children and adolescents who have mental health, developmental, and/or adjustment difficulties. Because many of the youth we serve have experienced abuse, neglect, chaotic family situations, and repetitive placements, the Foster Care Program has created a seamless continuum of care and services designed to meet their diverse and multiple behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs and challenges within the same foster family home.

The Foster Care Service continuum is comprised of three Foster Care Programs designed to meet the initial, ongoing, and changing treatment needs of youth and families. We offer three levels of treatment and care, with each level offering a range of therapeutic services delivered within structured foster family care settings. Children served range in age from infancy to 21 years of age.

Our program range includes:
  • Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR)/Host Home
  • Treatment Foster Care
  • Family Foster Care

Children and youth are assisted to make use of treatment opportunities to reach their treatment goals while remaining in the same foster home.

The Foster Care Program recruits, trains, and supports foster parents to provide skilled, child-centered care and parenting in their own homes. Children receive highly structured, individualized treatment and habilitation services with the support of professional staff. Children’s biological family members are encouraged to be actively involved in all phases of their children’s care and service planning; visitation and treatment support are provided as needed while ensuring the child’s safety toward successful parent /family-child reunification.

Our Commitment

The Foster Care Program is committed to working toward reuniting youth with their families. Children who cannot reunite with their biological families are helped to achieve permanency through adoption, foster parent legal guardianship, or independent living, whenever appropriate.
