Services

Welcome House services include:

  • a supportive, friendly atmosphere with dedicated, skilled staff members available each day
  • six voluntary work units that provide real-life experiences for club members to learn valuable job readiness skills in areas such as food service, maintenance, computers, clerical, retail, and customer service
  • transitional employment opportunities at local community businesses to help club members explore career options and skill strengths
  • accessibility to other Elwyn support services, including outpatient services and campus workshop and community-based supported employment
  • community involvement through outings, trips, volunteer activities, and social gatherings with other regional clubhouses
  • staff and peer support through regular group activities, clubhouse meetings, and special events such as the annual Poetry Festival
  • easy accessibility by public transportation as well as an on-site cafeteria, library, and thrift shop
