Tee It Up At 21st Annual Sun East/H.B. Golf Classic

If you enjoy a challenging golf course and want to play for a good cause, the 21^st Annual Sun East/H.B. Golf Classic is on par for you.

With all proceeds benefitting Elwyn, Sun East Federal Credit Union invites you to tee it up at The 21^st Annual Sun East/H.B. Classic on Monday, September 10, 2012 at White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park in Wilmington, Del.

White Clay Creek Country Club is an ideal spot for any golf enthusiast. Opened in 2005, White Clay Creek is a Par 72, 18-hole championship course, designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest. While here, you will play on a course that includes more than 7,000 yards of beautifully, manicure fairways and natural rough. The course is challenging enough for the low handicapper, yet playable for the novice. Water comes into play on all 18 holes.

There’s a little bit of fun for all levels of golfers at this year’s event. A buffet luncheon gets things started at 11:30 a.m. Practice range, locker room facilities and a host of other amenities await your pre-and post-round needs. The round of golf begins at 1 p.m.  A BBQ reception and awards ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m.

Do you need another reason to attend? The Casino at Delaware Park is offering golfers and guests complimentary slot dollars to be used at the casino following the tournament.

The registration cost is $185 per golfer and includes lunch, golf, tournament golf shirt, slot dollars and BBQ. A picture of your foursome to remember the day is also included.

Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the course. Prizes will be given out to winners of the top three foursome scores, closest to pin, longest drive, straightest drive and a par three golden circle challenge. Mulligans, a 50/50 drawing and a special raffle prize are also available, with proceeds benefitting Elwyn.

If golfing is not your thing but still want to attend, non-golfing guests are invited to the luncheon and BBQ at a cost of $75 per guest. Casino slot dollars are also included.

Over the past 20 years, the Sun East/H.B. Golf Classic has teamed up with Henry Barusevicius and HB Electric to raise thousands of dollars in support of Elwyn and its mission of providing services to children and adults with special needs.
