Description of Services
Elwyn believes that everyone, regardless of the nature or the extent of disability, should be afforded the opportunity to pursue his/her work-related interests and needs and to participate in and contribute to their community. To that end, Elwyn Work Services provides work opportunities for people with disabilities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and California. Our programs and services include Adult Training Facilities, Work Centers, Placement and Employment Support Services, Elwyn Industries and Services, and Assistive Technology Services. Individuals, 18 years or older, with an employment related disability, can participate in our work services programs. These services enable people with disabilities to achieve their highest level of vocational functioning and to be productive citizens in their communities. Our Commitment Elwyn Work Services is responsible for the care, support, and habilitation of individuals who need specialized placement. Our goal is to assist each person to achieve his or her full potential for independent living. We embrace a philosophy that considers the individual as the focal point of all activities, and the individuals we serve are provided with the opportunity to make their own decisions and shape their own lives. We are a community that emphasizes the interdependence of all its components. We are committed to the concept of accountability, which means that all members of the agency, individuals and staff alike, are responsible for their conduct and obligations at all times. We strive to provide the highest quality of life to those entrusted to us. Satisfaction SurveyEach year Elwyn Work Services conducts a formal survey to determine overall satisfaction with our services. In the 2004-2005 survey, our service recipients indicated a 98.7 percent overall satisfaction rate.
