Elwyn offers many programs to help meet the various needs of individuals with intellectual, emotional disabilities, and physical disabilities too. One solid example of this type of service is our set of audiology services, available to the public as well. Elwyn Audiology employs professionally trained audiologists who perform hearing exams and hearing aid fittings for those in need.
Audiology Services You Can Receive Through Elwyn
Our licensed audiologists are trained in testing all populations, including those who may have intellectual or emotional disabilities. When necessary, we can also arrange to have two audiologists conduct the tests together, for control and accuracy.
Some of the audiology services available at Elwyn include:
- Audiological examinations
- Otoacoustic emissions testing
- Acoustic analysis of hearing aids
- Fitting or adjustment of hearing aids.
Additionally, we provide a full range of dispensing services for those with hearing aids or other listening devices. Services include:
- Replacement hearing aids. We keep all standard types, including digital, analog, and programmable aids.
- Assistive devices, such as FM or infrared systems.
- Alerting devices, which produce flashes or vibrations in response to audio cues.
- Batteries, ear pads, and other accessories necessary for proper day-to-day use.
All audiological services are performed on our Media, PA, campus. Located in the Yago Building, complete with dedicated parking, is a state of the art facility, equipped with audiometric suites which are engineered for noise reduction along with the latest in digital and video-based ear analysis systems.
Our credentialed audiologists keep up-to-date with training on the latest technological advances and research in order to provide clients with the best of the thousands of options available to them. We offer individualized assessment and customized treatment options that will enhance their lives.
Elwyn Audiology Services Accepts Insurance
Elwyn Audiology services are available to the public and we accept most major insurance and payment assistance types, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, AmeriHealth/AmeriChoice, Tricare, and various employer- or union-based insurance plans. Depending on your insurance, you may also need to bring a physician’s orders or referral documentation.
