Adult Residential Behavioral Health Services

Personal Care Homes

The Adult Residential Behavioral Health Program operates six Personal Care Homes in Delaware County. All are licensed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Human Services Licensing.

Rainbow House

Rainbow House is located at 66 East Old Baltimore Pike, Media, PA. It is Elwyn’s first specialized personal care home in Delaware County, and opened in December 1993. While the individuals at Rainbow House have diverse mental health challenges, the daily focus of the program is helping each individual to enjoy their optimal level of independence.

Friendship Hall

Friendship Hall is a specialized personal care home in Delaware County designed to serve medically fragile individuals. Opened in June 1997, the building is handicap accessible and is home to eight individuals who are in recovery from a mental illness and have significant medical conditions. The Friendship Hall staff work along with the residents and community medical providers with the goal of keeping medically challenged individuals in their home by adapting to their changing medical needs.

Harmony Hall

Harmony Hall is located on Elwyn’s Media Campus in Delaware County. It is a specialized personal care home designed to serve medically fragile individuals. Opened in 1999, the building is handicap accessible and is home to 16 individuals who are in recovery from a mental illness and have significant medical conditions. Harmony Hall also employs nursing staff to assist in providing additional medical support and case management services.

The Harmony Hall staff works actively with the residents and community healthcare providers to keep residents in their home environment. Daily care may be modified as needed to address the changing healthcare and psychiatric needs of individuals served.

Skyline Manor

Skyline Manor is Elwyn’s third specialized personal care home in Delaware County designed to serve medically fragile individuals. Opened in Glen Mills, PA in the year 2000, the building is handicap accessible and is home to six individuals who have both mental health disorders and significant medical conditions. The Skyline adult residential behavioral health services staff works with the residents and community healthcare providers toward the goal of keeping individuals in their home while adapting to their changing medical needs.

The White House

The White House is on Hadley Road on Elwyn’s Media Campus. It is a specialized personal care home developed to serve five individuals with behavioral health challenges. Opened in June 1998, the program provides comprehensive therapeutic services. The focus of the program is on providing residents with an intensive, individualized behavior management program. This unique residence uses innovative treatment planning and an array of empirically based therapeutic services.
The development and implementation of solid individualized programming helps residents build skills and take steps toward an improved quality of life.

Spring Haven

Spring Haven also on Hadley Road on Elwyn’s Media Campus is a specialized personal care home developed to meet the needs eight men and women. Opened in June 1998, this program serves residents who have long histories of mental illness, including multiple hospitalizations. Some of the individuals served also have co-occurring substance abuse challenges. The daily focus of the Spring Haven program is to meet the needs of individuals who benefit from both clinical and community integration components in their recovery plan.

Referrals for Elwyn specialized adult residential behavioral health services are made by the designated county representatives. If you would like to suggest a referral please contact your local County Office of Behavioral Health.
