How the Process Works

Our goal is to ensure that every student who enrolls at The Elwyn School will benefit from the
individualized supports, specialized instruction, and therapeutic services
we provide.

  • School District Referral

The student’s local school district initiates a referral to the Davidson School as part of the student’s IEP placement process.

  • Review and Evaluation

Once a referral is received, the Davidson School admissions team reviews the student’s educational records and may schedule additional evaluations or meetings with the family and district.

  • Admissions Determination

The team works collaboratively with the school district and family to determine whether the Davidson School is the right specialized educational environment to meet the student’s needs.
