Family Resource Center
Connecting Families to Support and Resources
The Family Resource Center (FRC) at Elwyn Early Learning Services (ELS) is designed to provide families with guidance and support beyond Early Intervention services. We connect families in Philadelphia County and the Chester Upland School District to a wide variety of community resources, educational information, and family supports. The FRC offers assistance with navigating systems, understanding available services, and accessing programs that meet each family’s unique needs. Our team is here to empower families with reliable information, meaningful connections, and compassionate support every step of the way.
Resources and Support Programs
The Family Resource Center connects families to a wide range of community-based supports and essential services, including:
- Benefits (Medical Assistance, SSI, etc.)
- Community activities & recreation
- Domestic violence support services
- Early Education Centers (Pre-K, Head Start, child care)
- Employment & job training
- Food insecurity resources
- Housing & homelessness support
- Support for marginalized communities (LGBTQIA+, refugee communities, etc.)
- Parent-to-Parent Program & parenting supports
If you are interested in any of these services, please speak with your child’s evaluation team or LEA Representative for assistance with a referral to the Family Resource Center.
Family Resource Guide
This resource guide was designed for Philadelphia families served by Elwyn Early Learning Services. It was compiled through the collaboration of Philadelphia-area professionals and families to help share helpful information and community-based resources. Its purpose is to provide families with access to a broad range of supports and services that may be beneficial.
