The Addison Hines Children’s Residential Treatment & Learning Center offers intensive therapeutic services for children and adolescents ages 6–21 with autism and complex behavioral needs, providing personalized treatment plans with strong family and caregiver involvement.

Children's Residential Treatment Facility

Addison Hines Residential Treatment and Learning Center supports children with autism spectrum disorder and complex mental health needs, including moderate to severe aggression, self-injurious behaviors, medical and/or genetic fragility, significant communication challenges, and severe psychosocial stressors. The goal of Addison Hines is to support the successful reintegration of children and adolescents into their home, community, or least restrictive environment while improving overall quality of life.

Program Components

  • Identifying and assessing the target problem behaviors
  • Developing a treatment plan to decrease those behaviors
  • Designing a plan to increase desirable behaviors
  • Assessing and treating any underlying psychiatric or medical disorders separate from the behavioral disturbance
  • Identifying problem behaviors that may respond to medication
  • Training parents, school staff, and other care providers to carry out the treatment recommendations or plan
  • Assisting parents and other care providers in accessing community support services
