Elwyn Marks One Year of Praesidium Accreditation
One year after earning Praesidium Accreditation, Elwyn continues to strengthen its commitment to creating safe, supportive environments for the children and adults we serve.
Praesidium Accreditation recognizes organizations that demonstrate a commitment to implementing practices designed to help prevent abuse and protect vulnerable populations. For Elwyn, earning accreditation was an important milestone — but the work did not end with the achievement.
Over the past year, Elwyn leaders and teams across the organization have continued to prioritize abuse prevention through training, policies, oversight, and accountability. These efforts include:
- Achieving at least 90% compliance across every service line with Praesidium’s Foundations in Prevention of Abuse training.
- Establishing abuse prevention training as a corporate KPI for FY25–26, reinforcing its importance as an organization-wide priority.
- Updating abuse prevention policies and requiring employees to review and acknowledge them.
- Maintaining quarterly Abuse Prevention Committee meetings to support continued leadership attention, accountability and coordination across the organization.
These efforts reflect Elwyn’s belief that creating a culture of safety requires ongoing attention and shared responsibility at every level of the organization.
As Elwyn marks the first anniversary of its Praesidium Accreditation, we remain focused on building upon this work and maintaining strong practices that support the safety, dignity and well-being of every person we serve.
Accreditation was an important achievement. Our continued commitment to prevention is the work that gives it meaning.
