HB Golf Classic

2017 HB Golf Classic Supports Children and Adults with Disabilities and Special Needs

On September 18, the 2017 H.B. Golf Classic to benefit Elwyn’s Development Center will be held at the Dupont Country Club in Wilmington, DE.  The event was founded in 1991 by Henry Barusevicius, Sr., and has raised thousands of dollars in support of children and adults with disabilities and special needs.

The event is put on by H.B. Electric and offers a full 18-hole tournament complete with a number of prizes.  The registration fee is $250 per golfer, which includes golfing, lunch, a golf shirt and a Cocktail and dinner reception at 5:30. For information about registering and sponsorship opportunities, visit http://www.hbelectric.us/hbgolf. Hole sponsorships include signage on the tee box and many choose this option in order to recognize family, friends, or their companies. Larger sponsorships include registrations for 2 or four golfers and appropriate signage. These opportunities include photo, golf cart, and shirt sponsors among others.

Elwyn offers many programs that provide for the health and well-being of children and adults with disabilities and special needs.  These services include residential treatment facilities, community homes, crisis services, day programs, employment services and more. Fundraisers like this one allow Elwyn to continue providing quality care for local individuals with special needs.

The Development Center at Elwyn, which will benefit from this year’s HB Golf Classic, is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Center offers a year-round nurturing environment for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. The programs offered include infant and toddler care, as well as full day preschool and pre-kindergarten classes.
