Elwyn Custodial Transitional Crew presented with Award

At the Media Courthouse on April 28th, Elwyn’s Custodial Transitional Work Crew at the Media courthouse received The Themis Award from the Delco Bar Association in Recognition for all their hard work and dedication.

For over 40 years, the Delaware County Council has contracted with Elwyn to provide employment to
Members of Elwyn Work Services Custodial Crew to clean four of the buildings at the Media courthouse.
Over the years, Elwyn work crews have provided on the job training in an integrated environment helping
individuals learn not only custodial skills, but also social skills. This has translated into hundreds of
individuals transitioning into community employment.
Thanks to the support and welcoming community at the Court House and at Delaware County businesses,
Individuals with disabilities have been given the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community.
