October 25, 2016 –San Jose, CA – For twenty-three years, Elwyn has run an annual Christmas fundraiser aimed at improving the quality of life for developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals called Elwyn Elves. For the first time, the Elves program is being extended to California, and Elwyn is asking for donations to help make residents’ dreams come true.
The goal of the 2016 California Elves drive is to provide an iPad to each Elwyn residential home, helping family members stay in contact with their loved ones. Additional funds will be used to provide gift cards to residents, as well as to fund a festive holiday party for residents, families and staff.
All donations made to Elwyn Elves go towards Elwyn residents. Donors can rest assured that their money will truly be going to those in need of holiday cheer and the gifts will make a difference to those whose lives are a constant challenge.
Elwyn hopes the community will give generously, and help make this a truly special Christmas for the individuals receiving care through Elwyn’s many outreach and training programs. Elwyn Elves is an excellent cause, and a great opportunity for interested individuals, businesses, and organizations to contribute.
To make a donation, interested parties can contact Elwyn’s Christen Wise at 408-558-1592.
