The appointment of Bruce M. Rice, Jr. as our first Senior Vice President of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Elwyn has hired Bruce M. Rice, Jr. as our first Senior Vice President of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Services, starting on November 28, 2022. In this role he will oversee the mission and operations of almost 2,000 supported individuals and over 2,500 employees in four states.
Adding this position to Elwyn’s executive team is a response to the evolving needs of the children and adults being served by the organization, and further positions Elwyn for growth and strategic development in the future. Bruce is looking forward to providing servant leadership in this important capacity, to protect the health and well-being of those in our care.
A seasoned healthcare leader with over 10 years of experience in the behavioral health and primary care field, Bruce served as the Chief Executive Officer of Fairmount within Universal Health Services, Inc. where he led the transformation and revitalization of multiple departments. In addition, he has held administrative and clinical roles for a variety of health systems in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Bruce received his master's degree and bachelors’ degree in business administration from Strayer University. Born in New Jersey and an active part of the community, Bruce is an elected member of the Board of Education for his township, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and a Lean Six Sigma Green belt.
